Hello and many thanks for visiting my website. I love story-telling, especially if it involves history. I've had an amazing time this year writing a book which involved an epic road trip around 15 World War Two female veterans who all worked at for Britain's remarkable codebreaking organisation. THE BLETCHLEY GIRLS is published by Hodder & Stoughton on 8th January 2015. (Book Festival dates pending...)

I got my grounding at Oxford University where I read Modern History, I've a Masters with distinction in Imperialism and Culture and have just been awarded funding to do a PhD at Sheffield Hallam University. I’ve presented numerous history documentaries including BBC2’s award-winning Coast and Radio 4’s Crossing Continents.

I've written for many of the national newspapers, write and perform my own lectures and have spent far too many hours presenting and contributing on the mayhem that is live radio.

Anyway I hope you find what you're looking for on this website.

All best wishes,

Tessa Dunlop
